How It Works

    Evaluate

    Our master craftsman will carefully evaluate your piece in order to propose a restoration plan and Scope of Work Proposal. Photos may be submitted, or an appointment can be made to bring the piece to our facility for assessment.

    Schedule

    HWT will schedule your project upon your agreement to the Scope of Work Proposal based on the evaluation, your Proof of Ownership Form, and the down-payment for the services agreed to.

  • 3

    Send

    All projects are performed at our facility. Customers will be responsible for the safe shipping and/or delivery of objects to be restored. We will be happy to offer our assistance and advice on these matters and ship empty cases to your location.

  • 4

    Restore & Return

    Our Master Crafstman will perform the services agreed upon to preserve and improve your artifact or relic. Upon completing the work required, HWT will ship your restored piece back to you.

1928 Newel Posts

These newel posts were replicated from a 1928 staircase in a home in Chicago's North Shore. A new staircase was being installed on the second to the third floor and the homeowner needed to replicate the original staircase.
