Our History
The beginning of Golden Age Propellers goes back to the late 1920s in Aurora IL. when a young man named Fred C. Carter developed a love for aviation and model aircraft, which involved the daunting task of carving a perfect propeller. In 1932, in the middle of the "Golden Age" of aviation, Fred carved his first walnut propeller for one of his woodshop projects with amazing skill at the young age of 15.
Years later, Fred passed on his skill of carving propellers to Brent Peterson, fueling his passion for aviation. With Fred's teachings and extensive woodworking experience, Brent developed the "Golden Age Propellers" that are available today.
